CLP leader Ajay Singh met Union minister of state for consumer affairs, food and public distribution Prof KV Thomas and informed him that the state government has stopped procurement of wheat on the ground of shortage of gunny bags.
Thomas
informed Singh about the facts and said that the state government is misrepresenting the facts.
Thomas said that he had replied to the letter of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan in this regard and cleared the situation to him. It is the fault of the state government which has led to the situation, Thomas informed Singh. Singh appealed to Thomas to ask the state government to start procurement of wheat on minimum support price immediately in order to help the farmers who a struggling for many days.
