Ujjain : Along with providing excellent facilities to the devotees thronging to Mahakaleshwar temple, Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple Management Committee (SMTMC) also provides several other facilities free of cost to the devotees and denizens of the city. Temple committee runs free mobile medical campaign time to time to keep under privileged of the city healthy and fit, Moksha Vahan (hearse), ambulance service, Gaushala (cowshed), Anna Kshetra and several other facilities are provided free of cost to the devotees. Expenditure of all these facilities has been incurred either from the donation received or from the annual budget of the temple committee.
Free Anna Ksehtra
Temple committee has been running Anna Kshetra since 2004 in which regularly more than 2000 devotees enjoys free meal. SMTMC officials informed that on average Rs 25,000 is required to run the Anna Kshetra which is incurred by the temple committee. Devotees on their birthday, anniversary or any special day can donate the aforesaid amount and free meal is provided from his/her side on that day. Committee also mentions the name of that person on the board hanging in the Anna Kshetra. Officials are also mulling for the expansion of the facility and for the same a proposal of whopping Rs 3 crore is pending before the higher authorities.
