Ujjain: With the chanting of divine hymns and prayers, Silver Jubilee Diksha Mahotsava of Tapo Bhumi founder Seer Pragyasagar was inaugurated here on Thursday. Jain community people took out a grand procession ‘ Binoli’ on this occasion.
Publicity in- charge Sachin Kasliwal informed that the silver jubilee programme began with flag hoisting ceremony. An abhishek of Lord Mahavira was performed at a pandal raised in the temple premises. Chief convener Pavan Bohra performed ‘ Paad Prakshalan’ ritual while community girls showered flower petals reciting prayer of Mangalacharan. Hundreds of community members chanted mantras performing yagnas. A grand procession was taken out from different routes of the city.
Community people were dancing on the devotional beats. Addressing on this occasion Seer Pragyasagar said that the same ritual had been performed at the time of solemanising Diksha over him twenty five years back. The ritual is being repeated today. Man has to bear the consequences of sin and virtues which he practices throughout his life. Man does countless sins leading his life about which he is unaware. For getting salvation, one has to follow the path of devotion.
