Sharma in final qualifying round in snooker meet

Mumbai Yogesh Sharma of PYC Gymkhana, Pune, registered a 3- 2 win to enter the final qualifying round in the Shyam Shroff Memorial All India Open Invitation Snooker Tournament at the Khar Gymkhana on Saturday.

Sharma, who led 2- 1 a

fter dropping the second frame, was forced into the decider by Karan Mangat of Vashi before winning 60- 46, 26- 80, 64- 21, 23- 52, 65- 31.

Among the others who entered the final qualifying round were former national champion Sarang Shroff of NSCI, Mahesh Jagdale of Elphinstone Cricket Club, R Girish of Railways, Abhimanyu Gandhi of Gujarat and Sandeep Gulati and Pushpinder Singh, both of Delhi. Earlier in the sixth round, Rovin Dalt39Souza beat Kabil Badami 3- 1, while Pushpinder Singh overcame Pawan Kohli of Khar Gymkhana.
