District Congress Committee ( DCC) observed the death anniversary of first prime minister of India Pt Jawaharlal Nehru paying him rich tributes here on Sunday at Congress office located at Kshirsagar. Congress

party workers garlanded the statue of Nehru while paying floral tributes on this occasion.

According to Congress spokesperson Purshottam Naagraj, DCC president urban Anantnarayan Meena and rural president Jay Singh Darbar garlanded the statue of Pt Nehru located at Balodyan ( Kothi road).

Party leaders and workers addressed on this occasion and presented a life sketch of Pt Nehru.

Likewise, Daulatganj Sarafa Block Congress Committee also observed death anniversary of Pt Nehru while organizing a tribute meeting under the leadership of block president Azam Shaikh. Women Congress Committee national secretary Pushpa Chauhan was chief speaker on this occasion. In her address, Chauhan said that Pt Nehru worked for the welfare of nation. Nehru launched foreign policy and Panchshil Yojana and attracted attention of entire world. One should have resolution to follow the path paved by Nehru. Kids were distributed biscuits and eatables on this day. Neeraj Solanki conducted the programme while Shailendra Soni proposed vote of thanks.
