Ujjain: In support of their 15 points d e m a• d , Postal employees went on two day strike in the city on We d• e s d a y. The strike was called after a m e e t i• g between union leaders and postal employees got failed in Delhi. Two day strike is being organized on the joint call of National Federation of Postal Employees and Federation of Postal Organisation.
Postal employees’ prime demands include imposition of Seventh Pay Commission, addition of basic pay in dearness allowance, pension benefits to employees recruited after January 1, 2004, removal of ban from compassionate recruitment, recruitment on vacancies, etc. Postal employees raised slogans at post offices in the morning.More than 500 postal employees went on strike.
