German luxury sports carmaker Porsche on Monday said it will recall 483 cars in India as part of its global exercise to fix faulty headlight in one- lakh units of the Cayenne . The company said the workshop
job is free of charge for the customer.
” In- house quality investigations revealed that in rare cases an incorrectly locked head- light module can become detached,” the company had said. Approximately 1,00,000 units of the Cayenne line are being reworked, it added.
Last week the company had announced a global recall of current 2011 and 2012 Cayenne s to rework on the headlight locking system.
Japanese car- maker Nissan too will recall over 2.5 lakh units including 9,600 Micra cars produced at the Chennai plant for European market due to a loose sensor that could cause fuel leaks in the worst cases. The company said, its Indian market would not be impacted.
