Jhabua: Police had been trying to arrest the manufacturers of illegal liquor that had been occurring near the Gujarat border. Police have been putting in constant efforts but the results were nil.
However, with the help of tip-off, police was able to arrest the brewers and have seized the liquor. As per the information received, police was informed by the tip-off that a truck, loaded with illegal liquor was travelling to Gujarat from Indore.
Truck (MP-09-HF2693) was loaded with about 350 boxes of illicit liquor which was estimated to be of 31,80,000 rupees.
It may be noted that the truck was loaded with illegal liquor and very wisely topped with crap and garbage. Hence, it was very difficult even to detect that something illegal could be carried in the truck.
When police stopped the truck for inspection and interrogation, the truck driver did not respond satisfactorily. Police further interrogated with strictly and searched inside the truck, eventually finding out the illegal liquor.
