. OUR STAFF REPORTER Bhopal Non- teaching staff of Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Mass Communication went on an indefinite strike on Monday, intensifying the dispute between them and the varsity management.

p> The varsity management tried to hold talks with the agitating employees, demanding to stop direct recruitment on non- teaching posts and first promote the existing staff.
” The university administration approached MP Non- Teaching Employee Federation to resolve the issue but union leaders said the talks should be made the varsitys nonteaching staff only,” said union leader Ashish Dohre. The varsity management had held talks with the employees earlier too. Other university employee unions and other unions have extended their support to the agitation.
On Monday, Mantralaya Karmachari Sangh president Sudhir Naik and MP Non- Teaching Employee Federation president Avinash Burbure, and MP Bhoj Open University employee union leaders too joined the protest5 at varsitys main gate.
They addressed the employees.
After 15- day phased agitation, nonteaching staff decided to launch indefinite strike from Monday.
” The strike will continue till the university does not cancel the recruitment advertisement and accepts employeesalt39 demands,” Dohre said.
