OUR STAFF REPORTER BHOPAL In a major breakthrough, the Kamla Nagar police, on Tuesday, nabbed the two accused allegedly involved in the murder of Abhishek Gupta alias Babu.

The accused were absconding after the murder of Babu on Marc

h 28 and were carrying a reward of Rs 10,000. The police also recovered an automatic and a country- made pistol along with a live cartridge from their possession.

The SP Abhay Singh informed the accused Raj Yadav 24, a resident of Kotra village was nabbed near Kaichi Chhola on a tip off.

The other accused Chandan Singh was also arrested after being identified by Raj Yadav. The accused Raj Yadavs brother Mukesh was shot dead by one Asif in a gang war in MP Nagar area last year. Babu, also a gangster was a witness in the case but later he sided with Asif and his accomplices who are still on the run, Singh added. The accused planned to kill Babu after he shook hands with their rivals and on March 28. Raj Yadav, Rishabh and Chandan shot him dead near Vivekananda School.

The accused Raj Yadav had seven cases of registered cases against him at Kanla Nagar police station and he used to extort money by creating terror among the local residents, the police said.
