Ujjain : The students of Mechanical Engineering department at the MITM have developed a bike that is powered by electricity.
The final year students AbhishekPachori, Ravina Gupta, Aditya singh Chouhan, KP Rathore and Lakhan Patel have developed the bike under their major project. The bike also features a reverse mode.
The bike is powered by a 5 horse power motor and can run 100 kilometers on a cost of Rs 5. Prof Palash Patodi, the project guide, said the total cost of the project is around Rs 25,000. Chairman Pravin Vashisht, Director JN Vyas, Dr SR Madan and HoD Prof Bharat Chede congratulated the students.
