Ujjain:Miscreants burnt the door of an empty house as they failed in unlocking it near Metro Talkies here on Saturday night. They then entered the house and tried to unlock the almirah, but failed once again. According to Kotwali police, one Madhusudan Khandelwal, who resides near Metro Talkies, went out of the city with his family and his house was locked. A bike and a scooty were standing in the porch of the house. Some unknown miscreants entered in his house and tried to unlock the door, but failed to do so. They then took out petrol from the bike and sprayed it on the door.
They burnt the door and entered inside. They rummaged the house, but did not find any precious thing there. They tried to unlock the almirah, but did not get success. Neighbours found the door opened in the morning and informed Madhusudan’s brothers about the incident. His brothers reached there and informed police.
Kotwali CSP Sanjay Sahu and FSL officer Dr Arvind Nayak then reached the spot and inspected it minutely. Khandelwal is a milk dealer and deals on agriculture products too, therefore LPG gas cylinders and other materials related to agriculture were kept inside the house. But miscreants did not steal them and tried to find cash and booties. Sahu said he had seen such sort of theft for the first time.
