A man was found murdered in Juna Risala area on Saturday morning. His severed head was found lying at the spot.

According to information, Juna Risalal resident Abdul Wahid ( 46) son of Abdul Majid

was found murdered on the verandah of his neighbour Zakir. His head was found in pieces at the spot.

Sadar Bazaar police said that prima facie the victim was hit on his head several times before being hacked.

Police also found some traces of struggle between the victim and attacker before his killing. Some blunt weapons like heavy stones were used in the murder.

Police sent the body for post mortem to the district hospital.

Sources said that the deceased was mentally disturbed and was under treatment.

Police are suspecting another mentally- disturbed man for the crime as he is absconding. Residents of the area said that the suspect and the deceased were seen fighting many times before and the suspect had also assaulted his father and brother a few days back.

The man was roaming in the area for the past few days. Police are now searching for the killer.
