OUR STAFF REPORTER BHOPAL Congress MP Sajjan Singh Verma along with Congress executive members handed over a memorandum to Governor Ram Naresh Yadav on Monday about largescale illegal mining of sand in Narmada Valley. Verma requested the G
overnor that illegal mining of sand has assumed serious proportions in Narmada valley which has become a threat for the physical existence of Narmada. The Congress leaders demanded that the governor should interfere into the matter and order the state government to check exploitation of minerals.
Zila panchayat member Jagdish Chauhan of Sehore, Youth Congress general secretary Farukh Khan of Vidisha, district Congress general secretary Gopal Sharma of Sehore, Nasrullaganj corporator Santosh Gaur, Dr Bahadur Singh Vagana, Sunil Verma and Chandraprakash Malviya were present with Congress MP on the occasion.
