OUR STAFF REPORTER BHOPAL To lodge protest against statement given by UAD Minister Babulal Gaur regarding decency of women and rape, Mahila Congress workers staged demonstration at Board Office crossing on Friday.

s workers, led by Pratibha Victor, gathered at Board office crossing holding placards.
They raised slogans against Gaur to lodge protest. Addressing the workers on the occasion, Victor said that eve teasers and rapes are mentally sick and women are not responsible for such crimes.
In present age women are educated and working and thus they have to come out of their houses. Gaur is a senior leader and a Minister yet he is holding a brief for rapists and saying that the women were responsible for such immoral crime.
This has caused resentment and anger among women and a feeling of insecurity, she said.
She further said that the recent incident of exploitation of women by BJP leaders and the statement given by Guar reflects the antiwomen approach of BJP. Purnima Singh, Ambika Pathak, Tanima Dutta, Babita Pillai, Rajni Rawate, Shahana Hasan, Indu Patil, Kusum Pal, Hazra Bi, and many others participated in the demonstration.
