Ujjain: ‘ Compositions of poet Kalidas give message of human love and social integration to people’, Varahmihir Research Institute founder Dr SN Gupta expressed these views during Kalidas Smaran programme held at Vikram University, Girls Hostel here on Sunday. Presiding over the programme, he told them to read compositions of great poet Kalidas so that they can understand the worth of love and life. He also told students to become self dependent. Sanskrit scholar Dr Rukmani Bhadoria was the chief guest of programme.
Kalidas explained penance and sacrifice in his compositions so that descendant of country could understand the significance of karma. Special guest Dhaniram Badal recited ghazal and offered his respect for poet Kalidas. Ashok Waqt imparted his views on Kalidas’s compositions and said his compositions draw splendid nature and culture of India.
Student Chandrakanta Kataria recited patriotic song. Programme began with Kalidas Kirtimann recital written by Dr Shivmangal Singh Suman. Chandrapal Singh, Kavita Tambolia, Jyoti Rathore and Rachna Narvaria welcomed the guests. Nandan Chavda proposed the vote of thanks.
