Rain god welcomes Narmada with showers
Ujjain: Heavy crowd witnessed the historic dedication ceremony of Narmada- Kshipra- Simhastha- Link Project ( NKSLP) at Ramghat on Tuesday evening. Even braving the intermittent rainfall, citizens seemed excited to turn at the banks of Kshipra.
The stage was set at the middle of holy Kshipra and on either side of the banks heavy crowd was present to witness the highly ambitious project of the state government. The dazzling colourful lights were creating a pleasant scene at Ramghat as thousands of people floated lamps in the
river. Women performed aarti of holy Kshipra. In the morning a Kalash atra was taken out by city women. BJP leaders were seen dancing during the procession. Women reached at the venue of dedication ceremony two hours before the scheduled time. The rainfall has caused slippery surface at the piers at the banks due to which women got slipped.
Heavy crowd prevailed at the banks at Ramghat and Dutt Akhara during the dedication ceremony. Minister for School Education Paras Jain and MLA Mohan adav reached the venue at 5.45 pm where little girls welcome them. Saints and seers were welcomed by garlands by Minister Jain and MLA adav.
