Ujjain : A remembrance ‘Hasyanjali’ was paid to famous satire poet Om Vyas Om in programme organised by Hasya Mev Jayate, a society dedicated to laughter, on Tuesday. The event started with garlanding of late poet’s portrait and offering him verbal tributes.
Giving the information Shailendra Vyas of the society told that, an open Thahaka competition was also organized at the event. In which Dr Sharda Shri Vaishnav and Guddan Khan were awarded Thahaka queen and king respectively. The event was arranged on the fifth death anniversary of Pt Vyas.
Various famous poets from the region including, Ashok Bhati, Arvind Sanan, Bharat Pandya, Surendra Circuit, Shaqeb Qureshi, Swami Nath Pandey, Kedar Bansal and Sudarshan Soni were present at the programme. Pt Shailendra Vyas conducted the event. Vote of thanks was proposed by Mukesh Joshi.
