Guddu leads delegation to PM, demands fund for Ujjain

FP NEWS SERVICE Ujjain Local MP Premchand Guddu on Thursday led a delegation to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to demand development of Ujjain Lok Sabha constituency.

Several issues including sewerage plan under JNNURM, price hike in

food grains and subsidy for poor were discussed during the meeting.

The Prime Minister reportedly assured Guddu to grant sufficient funds for the development of the constituency and other Central schemes will be made available soon.

Though the Central government provided grain subsidy to people living below poverty line ( BPL). But the state government is not letting the benefit to the poor people, he told the Prime Minister.

Guddu also made a request for giving sanction to sewerage plan under JNNURM for the religious city of Mahakal. Guddu said that PM expressed seriousness towards the development of Ujjain. PM has been given an invitation to visit the city. The visit to PM will be fruitful for the city and will definitely bring out certain proposals in future. District Congress Committee presidents Anant Narayan Meena ( urban), Jay Singh Darbar ( rural) and Zila Panchayat member Dinesh Jain Boss were present during the meet.
