FP NEWS SERVICE Ujjain Due to the lethargic attitude of State government and Ujjain Municipal Corporation ( UMC), the city is still waiting for the benefits of alt145 Slum Free City Action Planalt39. The Central government not yet received
the Detailed Project Report ( DPR) of action plan, said local MP Premchand Guddu.
Guddu raised a question regarding this issue in Lok Sabha and asked about Rajeev Housing Scheme. Responding to his question, Housing and Urban Poverty Elevation Minister Kumari Shailza said that in the first phase of the project, Indore, Bhopal, Jabalpur, Gwaliar, Ujjain and Sagar have been added. An amount of Rs 288.25 lakh has been issued to state government for preparing a DPR of this project.
State government did not provide DPR of the project yet as other DPRs of the cities have been sent to the Union government. States have been asked to speed up the project in order to make the nation slum- free.
UMC employees to be feted Ujjain Municipal Corporation ( UMC) employees who worked in property tax and water tax recovery and brought better results will be felicitated with certificates.
