Former BAI chief coach pitches for academy in city

Ujjain : Badminton Association of India (BAI) former chief coach Sanjiv Sachdeva on his visit to city said the city has lot of potential in Badminton and a Badminton Academy will certainly pave the way for the local talent.

Sachdeva was in the city participating in the underway Badminton training camp at the Shalaka Badminton Hall. Citing the names of local talents including Vijeta Bhargava, Anurah Thakkar, Alap Mishra and Akash Chouhan, he said he is optimistic from all of them. He also lauded about the efforts of local coaches Prabhat Sirsath and Jitendra Dagar. Local corporator Durgashakti Singh, who was also present on the occasion said sports has always been guiding a person towards optimism. Vice president District Badminton association Dr Katyayan Mishra felicitated Sachdeva along with others and presented him a memento on the occasion. Dharmesh Yashlah of Sartaj Academy was also present.
