Brief spell of rains in evening


HOPAL: The city experienced a brief spell of sharps showers on Wednesday providing relief from humid weather. Throughout the day, it was cloudy and humid weather. More rains are likely in Jabalpur, Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain divisions in the next 24 hours as system is still working over South- West part of Madhya Pradesh. Two systems are already working over Bay of Bengal and Orissa.

According to Meteorological department, rain and thundershower is expected at many places over south Madhya Pradesh and a few places over North- West Madhya Pradesh and at isolated places over North- East Madhya Pradesh. Earlier, a system was working over Bay of Bengal and Orissa. Another upper air cyclonic system is working over South- West part of Madhya Pradesh and adjoining Gujarat. These systems are expected to precipitate in various parts of Madhya Pradesh.

BMS leader off to Cambodia

Radha Gupta, will represent Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh in the workshop to be held at Cambodia, organised by International Labour Organisation ( ILO) from September 4 to 9. The topic of workshop is ‘ Trade Union Training on Decent Work Country Programme and Role of Trade Unions ( DWCPS).

Marathi plays during Ganeshotsava

The Maharashtra Samaj, Tulsi Nagar will celebrate the festival of ‘ Ganeshotsav’ from September 1 to 11. Marathi plays, poetic meet, classical and semi- classical singing, debates, devotional songs will be presented in various functions during the festival. Marathi play titled ‘ Chav Kashi Aahe’ will be staged on September 8. On September 10, songs will be presented.

MP employees association meeting on Sept 5

The Madhya Pradesh Adhikari- Karmachari Samyukta Sangharsh Samiti state president Rajendra Singh Bhadauriya and state general secretary Arun Dwivedi said in a release that the strategy of a state- wide stir of the government staff would be decided at a meeting to be held on September 5, 2011 at antriki Bhawan, MP Nagar, Bhopal.
