Hear the World gifts hearing aids to Special Olympics athletes
Hear the World Foundation, a charitable organisation, set up by Swiss hearing instrument manufacturer Phonak, is gifting hearing aids for 14 Indian Special Olympics athletes with hearing disability. The Hear the World Foundation globally supports the athletes of Special Olympics by providing highquality hearing instruments to all participants with treatable cases of hearing loss, as well as arranging free follow- up care for athletes with hearing loss. By doing so, the Hear the World Foundation is giving the athletes the opportunity to improve their physical fitness and enhance their quality of life. 183 participants from India participated in the Special Olympics World Summer Games held in Athens in 2011, of which 40 were diagnosed with hearing loss.

Surana Hospital organises Cardiac Camp
Surana Hospital & Research Centre, Malad ( W) has organised Cardiac Camp from May 1 to May 15 for economically backward patients at subsidised rates. No fees will be charged by the doctor as well as the hospital for the angioplasty procedures during the camp.
