Donalt39t move without informing police, VIPs in Balaghat told

OUR STAFF REPORTER BHOPAL The state government has sounded high- alert in the naxalinfested Balaghat district following the abduction of the Collector of Sukma district in Chhattisgarh by the outlaws.

The security has been beefed up

in the areas where naxal outfits are believed to be operating.

According to Sachin Atulkar, SP of Balaghat, senior officers and peoples representatives have been told not to make any movement without informing the police.

He said that adequate security has been put in place and search operations have been launched in the area where naxalites have a hold.

The SP said that more men have been provided to police officers and peoples representatives have been placed under heavy security.

Collector Vivek Porwal said that though he had not enhanced his own security cover but the entire administrative machinery has been put on high alert. The Balaghat border has been sealed so that naxals from other states cannot enter the district.
