Attend duty with black arm bands

Doctors attended their duty sporting black bands protesting against poor security measures at Civil Hospital here on Monday. All doctors of Civil Hospital participated in the token protest and demanded adequate security in the hospital from the administration.
The doctors staged their protest following repeated incidents of misbehaviour by attendants of patients at the hospital. Recently an attendant of a patient misbehaved with Dr Ajay Khare. Despite of repeated incidents, the administration remained silent. Such incidents are causing problems to the patients and hampering treatment.
Inaction by the administration is encouraging the miscreants, the doctors said. Some miscreants ransacked and misbehaved with nurses, staff and doctors recently. Doctors protested the incidents and demanded their safety and security from the administration. Members of Government Medical and Employees’Association joined it and demanded more security for Civil Hospital staff. They said that they are there for serving patients and people, not for facing atrocities of miscreants.
They given the message of performing their duties with full of their devotion yet they will fight for their right too. Then, a doctors’delegation met Collector BM Sharma and apprised him to security requirements and its necessities.
