FP NEWS SERVICE Ujjain The DGP has issued directives to investigate a case of fake encounter that was reportedly took place a year ago. ASP Rai Singh Narwaria has been appointed to investigate the entire case. It is said that the fake enc
ounter was plotted by Madhav Nagar TI K K Upadhayay.
Notably, Madhav Nagar police arrested notorious criminal Dadnia alias Jodhan Singh ( 42), son of Machhandar Nath, a resident of Babina district Jhansi on July 28, 2011 from Vikram Nagar railway station.
However, police later reported that Dadnia was killed in an encounter with the police. TI K K UPadhayay and constable Mahesh Jaat sustained injuries in the encounter, the police report said. Accused Dadnia was a murderer and was facing charges of loot, theft and murder in Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat. Later, it was revealed that Madhav Nagar police plotted a fake story of encounter.
Sources said that Dadnia was arrested couple of days before the encounter.
Even, Vikram Nagar residents refused to believe the incident. It is said that Madhav Nagar TI plotted the incident for better record of the police station.
TI even did not inform senior officials about encounter, sources said.
