Ujjain : Thousands of devotees thronged various temples to worship Lord Shiva on the occasion of Bhaum Pradosh on Tuesday. Heavy rush of devotees was witnessed at Mangalnath on this occasion.
However, the famous Mangalnath temple of Lord Shiva witnessed the maximum number of devotees who were standing in long queues waiting for their turn to worship the deity. In their bid to make the day even more special, the temple committees left no stone unturned to ensure the beautification of temple premises with special arrangement for Bhat pujan, for which the temple is special.
Decorations comprising lights and flowers were seen at a number of temples where the devotees had started thronging the temples in the wee hours. Devotees also visited Angareshwar temple behind the Mangalnath temple, a Maha-arti was also organised on the occasion.
Thousands of devotees visited Mangalnath temple on sacred occasion of Bhaum Pradosh and earned blessings of Lord Shiva here on Tuesday. As per Hindu belief, Lord Shiva is affectionate of Bhaum Pradosh and people perform bhat pujan for getting prosperous. Devotees gathered at temple from wee hours and more than 500 devotees performed bhat pujan by getting government receipts from pujan counter at temple. Likewise, pujan for other wishes were performed by priests too. Devotees faced heavy trouble due to worn out connecting roads from Bhairavagarh and nearby villages to temple. Lack of Ujjain Municipal Corporation’s awareness towards availability of basic facilities on temple was noticed on the occasion of Bhaum Pradosh.
Both departments were known to the fact that hundreds of devotees will visit temple on the sacred day but passage linking and other facilities were not provided at the time when they were needed.
