DAVV students declared overall literary champions

Indore: After a long gap of 10 years, students of Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya bagged national trophy in the 27th Inter- University Youth Festival held at Nagpur.

The university team was declared Overall champion in literary competition following splendid performance of Neeraj Verma. Student of Christian College, Neeraj won solo elocution competition and he managed along with his teammate Shiva Sharma to secure second position in debate competition.

Shiva is a student of Renaissance College. Based on their performance, the DAVV team was declared overall champion in literary competition, said team manager Dr Sanjay Jain. He told the reporters that 800 students of 64 universities had participated in the competitions held in four streams— dance, music, literary and fine arts— from January 22 to 26.

‘We clinched the championship in literary,’he added. Dean- student welfare Dr Rajeev Dixit said that the DAVV bagged national level trophy in youth festival after a gap of 10 years. The Vice- Chancellor met both Neeraj and Shiva and congratulated them.
