Copper strips weighing 100 kg stolen

Ujjain : Unidentified miscreants broke into a factory at Maksi Road Industrial Area on late Sunday and decamped with copper strips weighing around 100 kg. Asian Electric Industry belongs to Chandrabhan Sharma. The theft was discovered at around 8.30 am on Monday. The matter was immediately reported to the police. Chandrabhan Sharma, proprietor of the factory registered a complaint at Madhav Nagar police station. With current prices of copper around Rs 440 per kg the loss is pegged around Rs 40,000. Police said as soon as the matter was reported to us, forensic department personnel were sent to the spot to collect finger prints. We have registered a case under Section 457 and 380 of IPC and investigation is on.
