City schools to celebrate Teachers’ Day today

Ujjain: Teachers’ day will be celebrated with full zeal and enthusiasm at city schools on the occasion of birth anniversary of former President of India Sarvapalli Dr Radhakrishnan here on Friday. Schools will felicitate its teachers on this day.

Madhav Nagar Government School for Excellence teacher Rajesh Gandhra will be conferred state level best teacher award 2013-14 by School Education Department on Teachers’ Day. Gandhra will be felicitated during a programme at Ravindra Bhavan in Bhopal on Friday. He will be presented a citation and Samman Nidhi of Rs 25, 000. Gandhra is a mathematics teacher and has given cent percent results in board examinations. Ujjain Municipal Corporation will organize a teachers’ felicitation programme to mark Teachers’ Day at Kalidas Academy at 11.30 am on Friday. Member of Parliament Dr Chintamani Malviya will be chief guest while Mayor Rameshwar Akhand will chair the programme. State Planning Commission Vice-chairman Babulal Jain, Simhastha Fair Authority Chairman Diwakar Natu and MLA Mohan Yadav will be special guests.
