BHOPAL: Indore resident and executive council member of Avadhesh Pratap Singh University, Rewa, Ajay Chordia has been elected as Rani Durgavati Vishwavidyalaya ( RDVV) EC nominee for VC search panel.
He along with two more nominees – one f
rom Raj Bhawan and another from UGC – would suggest suitable candidates for vice chancellors post of RDVV to governor. The governor will give his nod to one of the recommended candidates.
The appointment of VC in the RDVV is necessitated after resignation of Dr Ramrajesh Mishra.
The EC of Jabalpur University met on Friday and elected Chordia as its nominee for VC search panel. Apart from Chordia, ex- mayor Vishwanath Dube and advocate general R D Jain were also in the fray. While Chordia received four votes, Dube got two and Jain one vote. Chordia, a builder, has been elected as a member in VC search panel for the fourth time. Previously, he was on VC search panel for DAVV and Vikram University.
