Long traffic telephones services have been restored on priorities,” he said, adding, ” The damage due to major fire is of Rs 10 crore.” Yadav said, ” The ill- fated high rise building which had caught fire will be converted into administrative building and new I- P Trunk Automatic Exchange ( TAX) worth Rs 5 crore will be installed in other smaller buildings on the same premises.” ” We switched tele- services to Arera Telephone Exchange and Indore- based telephones services after augmenting the both. All the mobile towers will resume their working by Sunday evening.
Similarly, all the broad bands services will be rectified by Sunday evening as work is being carried on at war footing,” he said. Connections allotted through 23 RSU in various localities have been restored and rest of them will be rectified till Wednesday. Nearly 23,000 lines were affected.
As far as leased lines are concerned, there were 521 and 400 of them have been restored and remaining leased lines were being restored through wireless, he added.
‘BSNL has earned 9% of cash collection with Rs 10.53 crore collection in MP. We have reduced the expenditure from Rs 300 crore to Rs 100 crore. Therefore, this is our major achievement and the next financial year, we will bring BSNL in profit,’CGM added.
