London: Britons spend more than a year of their lives down the pub, a survey has found. In the average week Britons head out for a pint at least twice, taking a total of three hours, 34 mins, adding up to less than 8 days a year. And during the a
verage drinking lifetime of 60.5 years — past the legal age of 18 — Brits are expected to hit the bar for 11,220.7 hours, or 467.5 days.
A poll carried out by leading pub chain Taylor Walker with 2000 adults, a typical drinker will fork out up to 124,927.66 British pound on their favourite pub tipples over their lifetime, with lager the most commonly- bought drink.
44% prefer drinking with a partner, while a further third like to catch up with friends. One in 10 prefer taking work colleagues. ‘A good pub is a fundamental part of British culture,’Taylor Walker spokesman said. PTI
