œ OUR STAFF REPORTER BHOPAL Bharti AXA General Insurance Company Limited has set the target to double its business in Madhya Pradesh in the current financial year.

Last year the profit was Rs 4 crore and the company has set a target to ac

hieve Rs 8 crore profit.

CEO and MD Dr Amarnath Ananthnarayanan, while interacting with media on Thursday, said, ” Madhya Pradesh and West zone have a potential market for insurance companies.

We will try to push our insurance products through SMS, tele- services in rural areas instead of opening new branches.

Opening the new branches is costly affair so it is better to spread the networking instead of opening new branches to achieve the target.” ” We deploy risk engineers to guide our clients on how to keep themselves safe and sound instead of providing the claims after mishaps. Secondly we speedily settle the claim cases”, Dr Ananthnarayananan said, adding, ” so far company has sold over 10,000 policies in Bhopal alone.

We foresee huge potential for our SME and commercial lines product in this region.” The range of 58 products caters to customers small and large, rural to semi- urban, private individuals to commercial users and from small enterprises to large industries.

The companys unique Smart health critical illness policy covers over 20 critical illnesses, the highest in the market, he added.
