Confesses actor Neil Nitin Mukesh in an exclusive chat as he unwraps the emotional side behind his strong onscreen portrayals

who doesnalt39t shy away from being vocal about how he feels. Not many have been exposed to his deeply emotional side, but Neil Nitin Mukesh is a selfconfessed sensitive man. His childlike, sweet smile is far removed from the evil he perpetrates on screen. He admits, ” I am very emotional. Moreover, I canalt39t be diplomatic and hide how I feel. I will talk about it.” Yes, we agree to this, since his tweets reflect his emotional state of being. While other actors use a social platform like Twitter only to talk about their work and promote their films, Neil makes use of the micro- blogging site to vent his emotions and connect to his fans.
” See, I feel its not always about work.
Like if I have a day off from work and Ialt39m at home, I would revisit a lot of things. An ocean of thoughts would flow into my mind and I would tweet about it. If Ialt39m feeling upset, I would express it. And I think, because I talk as a person, not as a star, about my emotions, a lot of people relate to my tweets or my thoughts, because somewhere many people go through similar situations.” The alt39 Jailalt39 actor believes that he is as normal as anybody else. And hence, has no airs about being a star.
Little wonder then that the actor always obliges his fans by interacting with them. ” I donalt39t understand actors who hide their faces and all that. I never ever refuse any fan a picture.
Isnalt39t that why we become actors?” says the alt39 Playersalt39 star.
Not just emotional, Neil is also a sucker for romance. Ironically, he hasnalt39t done a single love story as yet.
He laughs, ” Ialt39m a die- hard romantic! In fact, when I sit to compose a song, on the piano, I always end up composing a romantic love song. So, yes its strange that I havenalt39t done a love story so far. Though Ialt39ve just signed a beautiful love story titled alt39 Palalt39 to be directed by Prerna Wadhawan, who was assistant director to Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra.” Whats even more surprising is the fact that the heartthrob is still single, in spite of being a strong believer of love and romance. Neil confesses, ” I have this phase of questioning myself as to why so? But you know, I think love should be simple, without any complications. I hate complications.
Ialt39m a believer of Eric Sehgals alt39 Love Storyalt39 and all that. So, I want someone who truly loves me. In my past, I was with this woman who didnalt39t love me. She was completely different from what she portrayed and she would lie to me. Hence, now, I really want someone who loves me and is being her real self.” But prod Neil to disclose if he likes someone at the moment and he confesses, ” Yes, I do like someone. But Ialt39m just waiting to be sure if she likes me too,” he says, breaking into an endearing smile.
Neil will soon be seen in Bejoy Nambiars alt39 Davidalt39. He reveals, ” I play one of the Davids. Bejoy is one of the best directors we have today. I guarantee that this is going to be a cult film.” And while wealt39re about to conclude the interview, Neil clarifies on stories of his recent link- up with Sonal Chauhan, ” She is a dear friend and we are working together in a film titled alt39 3Galt39, which is why we must have got linked. Its okay. But my earlier link- ups, Ialt39ve no idea where theyalt39ve come from,” concludes Neil. He has just finished shooting the major portions for alt39 Shortcut Romeoalt39, and soon healt39ll begin filming for alt39 3Galt39.
