Senior officials make inspection of route

Ujjain: Entire administration is on toes in view of the visit of President Pranab Mukherjee to Mahakaleshwar Temple on June 8. Senior administrative officials inspected the route between Circuit House and Mahakaleshwar temple. Officials were asked to complete all arrangements on time to welcome the President to the city.

According to official sources, Mukherjee will arrive in the city at 1.20 pm on June 8 and will leave the city at 4.40 pm after paying obeisance to Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlingam.

During the inspection, Divisional Commissioner ( DC) AK Pandey, IG V Madhu Kumar, DIG IP Kulshreshtha, collector BM Sharma, SP Anurag and others directed various officials concerned to complete their assigned tasks before the deadline. Pandey asked the PWD executive engineer GP Patel to complete renovation works being carried out at Circuit House by 6 pm on June 6. A final rehearsal rehearsal will be held at 5 pm on June 6.

Officials were directed to manage rooms of Circuit House with facilities of hot & cold water, room freshener, soap and others. Directives were issued for painting light colour on walls of rooms. The room in which President will stay will be equipped with hotline telephones.

Collector was directed to prepare a plan for that. Officials also visited helipad and directed officials for managing cleanliness at the venue. Directives were issued for performing asphaltation at helipad venue. Cavalcade of President will move from Circuit House to Mahananda Nagar, Treasure Bazaar Road, Nanakheda, Shanti Palace via Harifatak overbridge to Mahakaleshwar temple.

During the inspection, officials directed for removal of shops located near Nanakheda petrol pump and for practicing asphaltation in front of the office of GAIL. While arriving at Mahakaleshwar temple, officials were directed to get the chandelier cleansed at Nandi Hall. Railings of Nandi Hall should be polished. After the inspection ended, all the officials approached at the office of DC Pandey and attended a meeting.

Officials were directed for accomplishing their assigned works and duties promptly without committing any error. Public visit between noon and 3 pm will be restricted in Mahakaleshwar temple on June 8 during arrival of President. DC directed officials of police, administration, Health, PWD, Ujjain Municipal Corporation, Transport, Energy, Telecom, Tourism, Administrator Mahakaleshwar temple and other departments for ensuring the proper arrangements and duties assigned to them.
