International recognition for Ecole Mondiale student

Aditya Ranganathan grade 11 from Ecole Mondiale recently participated in the AMIS Music Technology Remix Contest and won the second prize. He was the only Indian participant at th

e contest. Adityas mastery for violin was built from the age of five. He achieved a significant number of accomplishments over the last few years while studying at Ecole Mondiale World School, which has supported and encouraged him to follow his passion. More recently, Aditya achieved alt39 Distinctionalt39 in the Trinity- Guildhall Grade 8 Musical Examinations on the violin, under the tutelage of Freddy Dinshaw.

At the AMIS Music Technology Remix Contest, Adityas composition alt39 Electric Rondoalt39 is wholly electronic piece ( made using Virtual Software Instruments and Synthesisers) in which he channeled what he learned in his eleven years of violin training through the musicianship skills he gained at Walden into a completely different form of music.

NMMC Commissioner awarded PhD at DY Patil Convocation

Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation ( NMMC) Commissioner Bhaskarrao Y Wankhede was awarded a PhD in Business Management at DY Patil Universitys convocationxeremony held last week in Navi Mumbai.

Wankhede said, ” I am happy to acquire my PhD in Strategic Management and thank my guide Prof Dr Pradip Manjrekar, Dean – Faculty Of Business Management, DY Patil University.

XLRI honours Narayana Murthy

XLRI School of Business and Human Resources, Jamshedpur celebrated their 56th Annual Convocation earlier this month. Narayana Murthy, Chairman Emeritus and Chief Mentor, Infosys Technologies Ltd, made the day special for the graduating students. During the ceremony XLRI conferred the alt39 Sir Jehangir Ghandy Medal for Social and Industrial Peacealt39 on Narayana Murthy for changing the face of the business at Infosys and his remarkable contribution towards growth of our economy. H M Nerurkar, Chairman, Board of Governors, XLRI and MD, Tata Steel presented the prestigious medal to Murthy.
