Ujjain : Seven persons were injured in vehicle accident near Mahidpur here on Tuesday late night. Six employees of a liquor company, including a constable of excise department, had gone for keeping vigilance in curbing the sale of illicit liquor in nearby villages.
The vigilance drive was in view of upcoming dry day on October 2. The accident happened when the team was returning to Mahidpur after completing their vigilance. One of the injured said the driver probably took a shut eye and lost control over the vehicle.
The vehicle rammed into divider, the driver was seriously injured in the accident. Excise constable Mahendra Vaskle, Ishwer, Bhola, Shailesh and 3 others were rushed to civil hospital for treatment by Mahidpur police.
