Ujjain: 41 beneficiaries who got registered for the houses to be built by MP Housing Board ( MPHB) in 2008 have been waiting for possession of houses. Six years have been past since 41 members got registered for 1500 square feet deluxe MIG houses.

A meeting was called by MPHB on Friday at the office located at Bharaturi in which all 41 members argued with MPHB officials and demanded possession of their houses. Members have deposited three installments for the houses in 2008, 2009 and 2010 consecutively, but they demanded possession of the house for paying rest of the amount.
The house cost Rs 13.90 lakh to them and Rs 11.80 lakh have been deposited by them already.On the other hand MPHB demanded cost of the house as per the current guideline.Though the houses are in under construction state and they will take one year more to be completed.
Two of 41 members filed a case before Supreme Court regarding possession of the house. Supreme Court ordered MPHB to provide them house at the cost of Rs 11.50 lakh. A collective decision was taken during the meeting that the houses will be handed over to the members within 2014.
