Ujjain: The 24-hr emergency medical services facility which was started from May 1 in pursuance with the State government has collapsed within five days. Under its provision, emergency care was provided at OPD and other wards to the patients. Emergency ward was found to be locked on Tuesday morning. When asked about the issue, Civil Surgeon Dr CD Sharma said that there are 29 doctors of Clas-I, who do not serve emergency services. 10 doctors are left who are eligible for emergency services, but they have declined to render their services. He also said that a show cause notice will be issued to the concerned officers and proper action will be taken.
