Patna: The pall of gloom, which had descended on a village in Rohtas district on April 22 after one of his sons fell to the bullets in Pahalgam terror attack, was partially lifted when Indian armed forces gave a befitting reply by targeting nine terror sites in Pakistan and Pakistan- occupied-Kashmir (POK).

In the Pahalgam terror attack, an IB officer Manish Ranjan was also killed by terrorists when he was enjoying his vacation with family members. Natives of his village, Aruhi, in Bihar's Rohtas district, said, in one chorus, "Sacrifices of martyrs did not go in vain. We are thankful to the Prime Minister."

Manish's uncle Arvind Kumar Mishra told FPJ over phone from Aruhi village, "Indian armed forces have taken a right action against Pakistan. I am proud of our armed forces, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and also of the opposition parties for extending full support to the government."

"Terrorism is a disease and even the world is suffering from it. In such a situation, all countries including Pakistan should cooperate with each other for complete elimination of terrorism from the entire world."

Manish's brother, Shashi Mishra while thanking Modi, said that terrorism was posing a danger to humanity itself, and applauded armed forces for the action against Pakistan. Stern action should be taken against terrorism in future too, he added.

Villagers lighted earthen lamps to extend their gratitude towards armed forces and the government. They also raised slogans like "Bharat Mata Ki Jai and Manish Ranjan Amar Rahe." It was also mere a coincidence that slain Manish Ranjan's 'tehrvi' (a ritual for the dead) was observed on Tuesday.
