Raipur: The Chhattisgarh government has officially implemented the Naxalite Surrender and Victim Relief-Rehabilitation Policy 2025, marking a significant step toward supporting individuals and families affected by Naxalite violence in the state.

According to a notification issued by the Home Department, instructions have been given to establish special committees in every district under the leadership of the District Collector for effective implementation of the policy. The initiative aims to provide relief and rehabilitation to victims of Naxal-related violence, including those who have died, been seriously injured, or left permanently disabled, as well as surrendered Naxalites.

As per the notification, the District Collector will serve as the chairperson of each committee, with the Superintendent of Police appointed as the secretary. The committee will also include two officers nominated by the Collector, the CEO of the District Panchayat, and representatives of the armed forces.

Additionally, a nodal officer will be appointed at the district and sub-divisional levels. These officers will oversee all rehabilitation activities, and their contact details—including mobile numbers and email addresses—will be forwarded to the state government.

The Home Department has instructed that all eligible cases since the formation of the state be identified, and surrendered Naxalites be given priority in the relief and rehabilitation process.

To streamline implementation, a dedicated online portal is being developed. This portal will store detailed information on each victim and surrendered individual, who will be assigned a unique ID. Officials are required to monitor the portal’s dashboard regularly and ensure timely execution of the rehabilitation measures.

The Home Department has directed all District Collectors to complete relief and rehabilitation processes within the stipulated timelines, strictly following the policy guidelines.
