One of the highlighted features is the addition of camera effects for videos and photos shared in chats. Now you can choose from 30 backgrounds, filters and visual effects. These updates will help you to enhance your images before sending them. This is an expansion on the tools which WhatsApp rolled out for video calls last year. With the update it aims to offer more creative options directly within messaging.
Another new feature that the messaging app is bringing is selfie stickers. With this update, now you can turn your selfies into stickers to share in your chats. So, how do you use this feature? Here’s how to do it:
First you need to tap the create sticker icon
Now use your camera to take a selfie
After that your selfie is ready to be used as a personalised sticker.
Please note that as of now, this feature is available on Android. iOS users expected to get it soon.
Other key highlights
Apart from the above mentioned updates, the popular messaging app has also come up with other updates. Now you get a new option to easily share the entire sticker pack directly with friends through chats on the messenger app.
In addition to this, WhatsApp is also bringing quick reaction features. This is almost simiar to Instagram reactions available in direct message. You can now double-tap a message to react and scroll through most used reactions. Also you get an in-app document scanner for the iOS version for iPhones.
