This layout is somewhat reminiscent of older Poco phones, though the company has since moved on from that aesthetic.
Freshly surfaced images, believed to show a non-functional iPhone 17 Pro dummy unit, gives us a closer look at this updated design. The camera layout itself appears largely unchanged from the iPhone 16 Pro. The lenses remain in similar positions, but are now enclosed within a broader housing that spans the width of the device. Apart from this new approach to the rear camera setup, the rest of the phone’s design stays close to Apple’s current language.
Another detail drawing attention is the updated placement of the Apple logo. It’s reportedly centered between the bottom edge of the device and the base of the camera bar — a small adjustment, but one that’s already sparking conversation online.
One other possible shift is material choice. Reports suggest Apple may be moving away from stainless steel and titanium, opting for aluminium frames on the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max. This would mark a return to lighter materials, likely to reduce both weight and manufacturing cost.

Apple is expected to officially unveil the iPhone 17 lineup in September 2025. The iPhone 17 Air is likely to replace the Plus variant release last year in the iPhone 16 lineup. These early leaks, while not final, suggest Apple is leaning into bold design tweaks and new form factors for its next-gen devices — with the Pro and Air models possibly leading the visual refresh.
