After months away from WWE programming following WrestleMania 41, Roman Reigns made his long-awaited return to Monday Night Raw last week, delivering payback to Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed. This week, all eyes were on the former Undisputed WWE Champion as he was set to confront the man who betrayed him Paul Heyman.
In the main event segment, Heyman entered the ring flanked by his new protégés, Breakker and Reed. Heyman attempted to address the WWE Universe, but the crowd in Texas drowned him out with chants and boos. Before he could fully explain himself, Roman Reigns’ music hit, and the arena erupted.
Reigns marched to the ring with a cold intensity, forcing Breakker and Reed to step aside at Heyman’s request. Trying to regain control of the situation, Heyman spoke directly to Roman, claiming he never meant to be disrespectful. He then dropped a bombshell with Seth Rollins out of action, there was a leadership void in his new faction and he wanted Roman Reigns to fill it. Heyman, uncharacteristically emotional, told Reigns he still loved his Tribal Chief and believed they could "fix this" together.
Roman listened silently, then took the mic and ordered the crowd to acknowledge him. As Heyman raised his hand instinctively, Reigns snapped: “You’re not a Wiseman anymore you’re just a dumba**.”
Reigns addressed Breakker directly, warning him that Heyman would turn on him just like he turned on The Bloodline. Roman gave credit to those who truly helped him during his historic title run The Usos, Solo Sikoa, and Sami Zayn and made it clear that Heyman had little to do with keeping the gold. “I didn’t ruin The Bloodline,” Roman declared. “This dumba** did.”
A furious Breakker grabbed the mic, calling himself the new top dog in WWE and telling Roman to do what he does best walk away. Roman calmly handed Breakker his mic… and then blasted him with a Superman Punch, followed by a devastating Spear.
Roman tried to fend off both Breakker and Reed, but the numbers began to overwhelm him. Just when it looked bleak, Jey Uso’s music hit, and he charged down the ramp to help his former Tribal Chief. Together, they hit dual spears Jey taking out Breakker while Roman speared Reed leaving Heyman’s faction laid out.
