Royal Challengers Bangalore beats Gujarat Giants in the WPL 2025 season opener

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) made a thrilling start to their Women's Premier League (WPL) title defense, defeating Gujarat Giants (GG) by six wickets. Chasing a target of 201, RCB's Richa Ghosh and Kanika Ahuja stole the show with an unbeaten 93-run partnership, securing the win with nine balls to spare.

RCB's successful chase of 201 is now the highest in WPL history, surpassing all previous records. The team's impressive performance was fueled by Ellyse Perry's 34-ball 57 and Ghosh's explosive 64 off 27 deliveries.
