Bhubaneswar: Tushar Khandekar scored the match-winner two minutes from time as Uttar Pradesh Wizards edged past Kalinga Lancers 4-3 in a thrilling Hero Hockey India League match on Thursday.Khandekar struck in the 68th minute to silence the vocal home crowd after the two teams were locked 3-3.

For UP Wizards, who led 2-1 at half time, the other scorers were Nithin Thimmaiah (8th minute), Malayalan Gunasekar (17th) and Nikkin C A Thimmaiah (55th).Lalit Upadhyay (23rd), Gagandeep Singh (58th) and Gonzalo Peillat (62nd) scored for Kalinga Lancers coached by India coached Terry Walsh.

With the win, U P Wizards are on second place in the league table with 26 points from eight matches. Kalinga Lancers are at fifth position in the six-team league table with 11 points from eight matches.Kalinga Lancers next play against Ranchi Rhinos today while UP Wizards play their next match against Jaypee Punjab Warriors at Mohali on Saturday.
