Manchester United have bolstered their attacking options with the signing of Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford. The 25-year-old winger becomes United’s second addition of the window, following the earlier arrival of striker Matheus Cunha from Wolves.
The deal to bring Mbeumo to Old Trafford is reportedly valued at more than £70 million, according to sources from ESPN. United will pay an initial fee of around £65 million, with the total rising to £71 million through add-ons. These bonus payments are tied to appearances, goals, and team success during his time at the club.

Bryan Mbeumo signed five-year contract with Manchester United, which will keep him at the club until June 2030. The deal also includes an optional one-year extension. His new contract will see him earn a base salary of approximately £150,000 per week, a significant increase from the estimated £50,000 per week he earned at Brentford.
The contract includes performance-based bonuses that could raise his weekly earnings to around £200,000, depending on achievements such as Champions League qualification and individual performance milestones.
Who is Bryan Mbeumo ?
Mbeumo was signed by Brentford from Troyes in 2019 for just £4 million. He enjoyed a breakout season with Brentford in 2024–25, netting 20 goals and supplying 8 assists in the Premier League.
His consistent attacking output helped elevate his status as one of the top-performing wide forwards in English football. Over six seasons at Brentford, the Cameroon international amassed 70 goals and 51 assists in 242 appearances, showcasing his development since arriving in 2019.
The forward is expected to be part of United’s preseason tour of the United States, where the team will play matches in Chicago, New York, and Atlanta. The tour could provide Mbeumo with his first chance to feature in a United shirt.
