Indian and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) batting star Virat Kohli has reportedly ended his partnership with German sportswear giant Puma. According to media reports, the right-handed batter's eight-year contract of ₹110 crore has come to an end and is set to join Agilitas as an investor and an official announcement is expected to come amid IPL 2025.
Former Puma India and South-East Asia managing director Abhishek Ganguly had triggered the inception of Agilitas. The organized is known for making and retailing sportswear goods in India and abroad. Moreover, Agilitas acquired license rights for Italian Sports brand Lotto in India, Australia and South Africa.
Reports have also indicated that the motive behind Kohli wanting himself to associate with Agilitas is more to do with growing One8, the lifestyle brand he had started in 2018. A source said below, as quoted by MSN:
"The brand will be a significant part of Agilitas’s growth story. It's all about turning One8 into a global brand—footwear, sportswear. India does not have an aspirational sportswear brand. There will be a new brand identity and relaunch for one8."
