Team India's star batter Virat Kohli survived a massive run-out chance in the ongoing third ODI against England at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The former Indian captain was halfway down the track but survived despite the keeper hitting the stumps at the striker's end as a video of the same surfaced on social media.
The incident occurred in the seventh over of the innings as right-arm pacer Saqib Mahmood came on for his fourth. With the right-handed batter clipping the ball to mid-on, he sprinted off for the single but Shubman Gill stayed on at the other end. Mark Wood's throw at the striker's end was spot on but Kohli was quick enough to make it home. The tourists needed a direct hit for the wicket. Nevertheless, Kohli hit two consecutive boundaries to follow that delivery.

Team India lose Rohit Sharma after England skipper Jos Buttler opts to bowl first
Meanwhile, the toss fell in favour of England in what is an inconsequential game as Jos Buttler opted to field first likely because of the dew. However, Rohit Sharma, who scored a century in the previous innings, failed to get going as Mark Wood struck with his first ball of the innings to remove the skipper for 1.
